  7. LIR XLM/IS is a pre-ported software module implementing the X.25 and
  8. X.3/X.28/X.29 CCITT recommendations under UNIX/Streams. It conforms to the
  9. STREAMS and NPI specifications. XLM/IS is designed for OEMs, software
  10. developers, and integrators who need to connect mini and micro Streams-based
  11. UNIX systems to packet-switched data networks. XLM/IS comes with an IP/X.25
  12. module to support TCP/IP LANs interconnection, a SNDCF module for OSI TP4/CLNP,
  13. and an X.29 module for PAD support. The product includes a comprehensive tool
  14. set for statistics collection, traces, and configuration management. XLM/IS
  15. supports public and private X.25 networks, over switched or leased lines. It is
  16. fully CCITT 1984/88 and GOSIP conformant, implements both X.121 and OSI
  17. addressing schemes, and supports both Connection Oriented Network Services and
  18. ConnectionLess Network Services; it has been tested and certified on a large
  19. number of public data networks.
